This project shows how a new generation keeps the Moluccan traditions and culture alive - even if they live far from the motherland.

When the Moluccan people settled in the Netherlands in 1951 and formed a government in exile, they were cut off from their families in their motherland- the tropical archipelago of Maluku- and have adapted to a western lifestyle. Where you will see

This dance and other ancient cultural traditions were unknown to the next generation and recently rediscovered. It helps Moluccans to be proud of where they came from and to remember who they are. ‘‘Mena-Muria’, One for all-All for one
